Kit Land-Nelson was a very important Lady to the City of Apopka. She was vibrant and cared deeply for her community. She was great supporter of our parks and foliage industry. Therefore she worked hard to establish the park, the Gazebo is part of gratitude and the plaque behind your pictures is due to the 59 years Apopka Art and Foliage Festival that raises the money for groups in Apopka and your scholarship funds. So as you carry on may all of you be Kit Land-Nelson in spirit.
Thank you Ms. Betty and your committee for all your work!
